Fantastic coffee, and peaceful, out-of-the-way vibe. Space is very much on the small side, and the patrons are usually pretty unfriendly. There's no wifi and no reliable open hotspots nearby, except one for pay.

I concur - awesome coffee. They definitely take it pretty seriously here, but I found there atmosphere a little lacking. The picture above is from the wrong location I think.

Really amazing coffee!! I've only ever been to the Chelsea Market location which is delicious. I live pretty far uptown and frequently make the trip down. The service is FINE but they're not winning points for geniality. Cute, sleepy-eyed, knit cap wearing, fuzzy, granola barista boys though - which, doesn't hurt.

More of a coffee temple than a cafe, but the best coffee and espresso drinks imaginable, roasted by the Intelligentsia people. The atmosphere is something like a Calvinist meeting room crossed with a leather bar. Food options are minimal (croissant, chocolate croissant), as is the coffee menu. Pure coffee, made expertly by people who know and care about coffee.
