Drip coffee is ok - quite strong. Their espresso drinks are pretty meh though

Definitely my favorite coffee in the city! It is a little strong, but if you like it that way, as I do, you'll be thrilled. The staff there is always friendly and laid back. Great atmosphere for brunch - and food is DELISH. I also recommend buying their beans to take home - not only is it fabulous to be able to make your own Mud at home, but you get a free coffee anytime you buy it there. A "can't miss" in NYC.

the mudspot cafe is an east village staple. the people who work there are wonderful, their mud coffee is soooo good and fresh and hot - i want one now. i love the atmosphere. the beastie boys used to record in their basement space. they sell fab shirts and mud coffee
